Liverpool striker, Roberto Firmino played his final game in front of the Anfield fans in the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Brazilian will leave the club after eight years after it was confirmed he will not be renewing his contract when it expires this summer.

His final Liverpool game will come when the Reds travel to the south coast to take on already relegated Southampton, amid one last push for Champions League football next season.

According to ESPN, he scored 110 goals and racked up 79 assists in 361 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside club. He won six major trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and Premier League - Liverpool’s first in 30 years.

Firmino hosts exclusive Liverpool hangout

The 31-year-old hosted family and friends at an exclusive hangout after the game against Aston Villa at Anfield. According to The Sun, he conveyed the group in the team bus.

As he prepared for the VIP trip, the former Hoffenheim star was seen standing by the coach outside his Cheshire home, exchanging pleasantries and signing autographs for fans.

Natalia, the wife of his club and national teammate, Alisson Becker, gave those on social media some insight into the event with pictures on her Instagram story.

Alisson was influential in Firmino’s conversion to Christianity and was present at the poolside for his baptism. The two have maintained close family friendship since then.

Firmino inconsolable at Anfield

Sports Brief reported that Firmino was inconsolable at Anfield as he bid his final welfare to the home fans, who applauded him after the match.

He was one of the four Reds stars whose departures were confirmed due to the expiration of their contracts ahead of the crucial Aston Villa game.

The other players who will certainly be leaving Liverpool are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and veteran midfielder, James Milner.
