Robert Lewandowski has finally opened up on Bayern Munich ace Joshua Kimmich's potential move to FC Barcelona this summer.
The Polish goal wizard has taken La Liga like a duck to water in his debut season after swapping Bayern for Barcelona as the Catalan giants seek to pull off a similar coup with his former teammate Kimmich.
According to Barca Universal, La Blaugrana are exploring the possibility of signing the German international as a potential replacement for the outgoing Sergio Busquets.
Securing the services of Kimmich might prove to be quite tricky, with the 28-year-old having two years remaining on his current contract with Bayern.
Speaking on the possibility of linking up with his ex-Bayern teammate at Camp Nou, Lewandowski, who became the first Barca player to reach the 30+ goal barrier in his first season since iconic Brazilian forward Ronaldo Nazario, said:
“No. I haven't spoken with Kimmich recently, and I know where you're going with this," he told Canal+ as quoted by Tribuna.
“I'll tell you I heard about these rumours myself, but I didn't speak with him since it isn’t the time. Of course, of course, I should put [Kimmich in the team], but I don't want to say anything because I don't really know the subject, and I don't know if it's some kind of journalistic gossip because such things appear a lot.”

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Barcelona are looking to make reinforcements to their first team squad, which sealed its maiden La Liga title in four years with a 4-2 away win at bitter rivals Espanyol.
