Kyle Walker is laughing the last laugh after Manchester City qualified for the Champions League final, thanks to an emphatic victory over Real Madrid.
The England right-back was instrumental in keeping Real Madrid’s key attacker, Vinicius Junior at bay all through the second-leg encounter as City would go on to win 4-0 on the night.
According to Madrid Universal, Walker paid his respect to Vinicius after the semi-final encounter but not without aiming a slight dig at the Brazilian, regarding who the better player is.
“You have to be arrogant. You have to be like attackers. I’m very confident in my speed and going one-on-one. I’m bigger than him, and I thought I could use my physical advantage. He’s a fantastic player, but I have to use my strengths. I made it as difficult for him as I could.”
Vini failed to muster a single shot on target against Man City as Real Madrid failed in their quest to defend the Champions League title they won last season.

Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior has blamed Real Madrid’s ouster from the Champions League on failure to listen to the coach’s instructions in their loss to Man City, Daily Post reports.
Real Madrid were pummelled 4-0 by the Citizens thanks to a brace from Bernardo Silva and two second-half goals from Eder Militao and Julian Alvarez.
Vinicius scored Real Madrid’s lone goal against Man City in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium but was kept quiet by the English defence in the second leg.
