Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has been identified as a summer transfer target for Real Madrid, as Los Blancos aim to strengthen their defence for next season.
Davies has attracted the interest of the 14-time European champions with his scintillating performances for the Bavarians since joining the club in 2018.
According to Goal, Real Madrid are mulling over going for Davies as a replacement for injury-prone Ferland Mendy, but will have to battle Manchester City for the Canadian.
Manchester City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, has also been keeping tabs on the defender, and has indicated that the Premier League club could make a move for the Bayern Munich left-back.
However, Real Madrid and Manchester City will need to convince Bayern Munich’s hierarchy to let go of Davies, who they consider a crucial member of their squad.
Real Madrid interested in Osihmen
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have identified Napoli frontman Victor Osihmen as a possible summer transfer target if they fail in their quest to sign Kylian Mbappe, Fansided reports.
Osimhen has scored 28 goals and provided 5 assists in 36 appearances this season for Napoli across all competitions, as he propelled the Pertenopei to their first Serie A title in 33 years.
Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are the other top two candidates preferred by the club’s hierarchy, as they continue their search for a long-term successor to Karim Benzema.
