Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has vowed to do 'everything within his power' to bring Lionel Messi back to the club.

Messi, who left for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, has been linked with a blockbuster return to his old stomping ground - Camp Nou.

According to 90Min, Messi's PSG contract, which contains a third optional year, will not be continued by the Argentine phenom, opening the possibility of a dream return to the Catalan giants.

In an interview after Xavi's men topped the Spanish top flight with four games to spare, the 60-year-old vowed, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano:

"We will do everything we can to bring Leo Messi back to Barcelona."

Meanwhile, fans of Barcelona continued their appeal for Messi to return to the Catalan giants, following the club's La Liga triumph on Sunday evening, Sports Brief reported.
