The best moment of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City came from evergreen Luka Modric.
Modric rejoined his teammates last week, and was named in Carlo Ancelotti's starting lineup for the clash against the Citizens at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
The 37-year-old played 87 minutes before he was replaced by Spain international Nacho Fernandez, as Los Blancos were held by the Premier League leaders, Talk Sport reported.
Modric's first touch vs Man City
While Kevin de Bruyne scored a brilliant equaliser to cancel out Vinicius Junior's sensational first half goal, it was Modric whose aura shone above all others.

After Ruben Dias leapt highest to a ball that had been sent sky high, Modric took it down with one of the best first touches you'll ever see.
Supporters, who praised the Croat's talent on social media, undoubtedly enjoyed it.
And on another occasion, Modric's lovely pass to Eduardo Camavinga quickly resulted in Vinicius Junior scoring Madrid's first goal.
Against City, Modric had a passing completion rate of 94%, which was almost flawless.
According to FotMob, the Croat made one block, one clearance, and seven ball recoveries.
City, Madrid play to draw
In the end, the match finished 1-1, with Vinicius Jr. and Kevin De Bruyne finding the back of the net.
TalkSport reported that Vinicius opened the scoring with a rocket after 36 minutes, against the run of play, to put Madrid in the driving seat.

Modric's Madrid future
Five-time Champions League winner, Modric confirmed his contract extension with the defending European champions for one more season, Sports Brief also reported.
The Croat veteran, who is set to enter his 12th season at Real Madrid, joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 for a fee in the region of £30 million.
Despite his shaky start to life at Los Blancos, Modric has since put the bad patch behind him and is now regarded as one of the finest players in the history of the club.
