Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has paid tribute to Liberian President, George Weah, after surpassing his record in Serie A following his goal against Fiorentina on Sunday, May 7.
Osimhen's goal was all Napoli needed to record a 1-0 win over Fiorentina, and that was the Nigerian's 47th goal in the Italian Serie A as a striker.
Weah was the leading African scorer in Serie A with 46 goals before Osimhen surpassed his record with the Nigerian hailing the former AC Milan striker.
According to a video spotted on Twitter, Osimhen explained that Weah really put Africa on the map, adding that his son, Timothy, is his friend.
