- Ronaldo has been linked with a move back to Real Madrid, his old stomping grounds
- He is currently plying his trade in the Middle East for Saudi top-flight side Al-Nassr
Former Barcelona icon Rivaldo has weighed in on Cristiano Ronaldo's potential return to Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is believed to be angling a move away from Saudi Arabia despite joining Al-Nassr in January on the back of an acrimonious exit at Manchester United.
According to talkSPORT, Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez are eager to return to Madrid, three months after agreeing to a £ 175 million-a-year contract until 2025.
The 38-year-old, a bona fide Real Madrid legend, scored an incredible 450 goals in just 438 games and earned four Champions League titles with the club. However, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's sensational return to Madrid has hit a snag following club president Florentino Perez's latest assessment of the reports.

Perez does not see the forward as benefiting the club’s sporting project. But Rivaldo thinks otherwise, arguing Ronaldo can be useful in tough moments.
“It would be beautiful for football to see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Real Madrid to perhaps end his career," the Brazilian said as quoted by CristianoXtra.
"Fans need to understand that they will not be able to demand the same from when he was 25 or 26 years old, but he can still help the club in more achievements.”

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s desire to once again play for Real Madrid might not become a reality after the reigning La Liga champions distanced themselves from the rumour, Sports Brief reported.
The 37-year-old is rumoured to be seeking a move away from the Middle East just four months after joining Saudi Arabia’s top club Al-Nassr in a mega deal in January.

Ronaldo and Georgina support daughter
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez were spotted in a hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for their daughter's operation.
This marks another personal challenge for Ronaldo, who had previously suffered the loss of one of his twins last year.
According to reports, the medical treatment has to do with her appendix. Nonetheless, it remains unclear which of Ronaldo's daughters has been admitted to the hospital.
