- In response, the club is rumoured to be considering taking legal action against Dube
AmaZulu Football Club could be heading to the court before long.
This is in response to what their former marketing manager, Phumlani Dube said in public recently.
As per Eyewitness News, Dube alleged that AmaZulu players were indulging in a destructive drinking culture, stating:
"The drinking culture is a big problem at the club. Colleagues were drinking pretty much all day at the Carling Black Label Cup."

For context, Dube had to resign from the club earlier this year, following allegations of gender-based violence against his female former colleague.
As reported by Sunday World, he allegedly struck the woman last November at the extravaganza that was hosted by Soccer City in Johannesburg, something he has denied.
For good measure, she was reportedly drunk at the time of the incident.
Dube: AmaZulu seeking legal opinion
In response to his drinking culture claims, the club is reportedly looking to take legal action against Dube, with a source telling The Citizen:
“He has brought the club’s name into disrepute, that we cannot run away from. There were other ways he could have handled the situation, and he could have approached the club and had his issues resolved inside. And speaking about his firing and clearing the air on that was fair, but talking about alcohol abuse and other club matters like that was careless of him and borders on slander."
AmaZulu is said to be considering seeking legal advice in taking the matter against their former manager forward.

Football“There are also individuals who could take legal action on their own because he defamed them,” the source added.
Truter slams AmaZulu drinking culture

The current Sekhukhune United mentor has confirmed Dube's drinking culture allegations.
Truter's stint at Usuthu began promisingly, but went sour before long, resulting in his axing.
