Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has shed some light on why Kevin de Bruyne was missing from the matchday squad against Fulham on Sunday, April 30.

De Bruyne has been in excellent form in recent weeks for Manchester City, scoring and providing goals for his side who have closed the gap on leaders Arsenal.

It thus came as a surprise that the Belgian did not make the squad for the trip to Fulham, but Pep Guardiola had a valid reason for leaving him out.
