Ancelotti blasts Real Madrid players

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti didn’t hold back on his criticism of his Real Madrid players following their disappointing 4-2 defeat to Girona on Tuesday night, Real Madrid reports.

The veteran Italian tactician blasted his players as he said his team were not up to standard defensively and were nervous against their opponents.

Ancelotti, however, described the defeat to Girona as a wake-up call for his Real Madrid team going forward as they push to succeed in the remaining competitions this season.

Barcelona fans celebrate Real Madrid’s loss

Earlier, Sports Brief reported a section of football fans clad in Barcelona jerseys were spotted cheering Girona as the Catalan side stunned Real Madrid at the Estadio Municipal de Montilivi on Tuesday evening.

Taty Castellanos, on loan from MLS New York City FC, stole the headlines with an impressive four goals as Girona hit Los Blancos for four.

The Argentine forward helped Girona race to a two-nil lead with a brace in 25 minutes before completing the demolishing exercise all by himself with two goals in the second half as Carlo Ancelotti's men stumbled to a humbling 4-2 loss.
