Real Madrid are one of the most successful clubs in European football. They have won a record 14 UEFA Champions League and 35 La Liga titles, among several others.

They are one of three clubs that have never been relegated from the Spanish top flight.

A few players, over the years, have been the bane of Los Blancos, punishing them for their defensive frailties.

Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski made Champions League history, by becoming the first player to ever score a hat-trick past Real Madrid in the competition in April 2013, per ESPN.

The Poland international destroyed some of the Los Blancos' history in the competition as he broke their streak of never conceding a hat-trick.

The then Borussia Dortmund forward didn't stop at three though, the Polish strike grabbed four goals, netting three in 17 minutes at one point, as Dortmund won 4-1.

Diego Milito

Milito scored four goals as Real Zaragoza stunned Real Madrid CF 6-1 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final tie at La Romareda.

The Argentinian striker scored a hat-trick in less than 20 first-half minutes to set the home team on course for a staggering first-leg victory.

Milito completed his four-goal salvo with a header on 55 minutes and his strike partner Ewerthon soon got in on the act to score two late goals to make it six.

Valentin Castellanos

Girona's Valentin Castellanos became the first player in 75 years to score four in a La Liga game against Real Madrid as they secured a stunning 4-2 win over Carlo Ancelotti's side whose faint title hopes were dealt another blow on Tuesday.

Castellanos proved a one-man wrecking ball, netting twice early in each half, with Real's Vinicius Jr making it 2-1 and Lucas Vazquez grabbing a late consolation.

He has thus become the first player to score four goals in this century.

Esteban Echavarria

The last time someone netted four goals or more against Real in a La Liga game was in December 1947, when Esteban Echavarria scored five for Real Oviedo.

Echavarria notched two goals in the first half, before bagging three more in a 7-1 thrashing of Los Blancos in the Spanish top division, RealOviedo.es reports.

Barca fans celebrate Madrid loss

A section of football fans clad in Barcelona jerseys were spotted cheering Girona as the Catalan side stunned Real Madrid at the Estadio Municipal de Montilivi on Tuesday evening, Sports Brief reported earlier.

On loan from MLS New York City FC, Taty Castellanos stole the headlines with an impressive four goals as Girona hit Los Blancos for four.

The Argentine forward helped Girona race to a two-nil lead with a brace in 25 minutes before completing the demolishing exercise all by himself with two goals in the second half as Carlo Ancelotti's men stumbled to a humbling 4-2 loss
