Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi has reached a new milestone in the Italian topflight league after making an appearance in the game between Spezia and Lazio.
The Spezia captain played his 100th Serie A game as the Eagles hosted the high-flying Lazio on Friday night at the Alberto Picco.
Gyasi, who inspired Spezia to promotion three seasons ago, was presented with a plaque in honour of his selfless contribution to the club.
Although the game ended with Lazio brushing aside Spezia 3-0, the 29-year-old Ghanaian expressed gratitude to the club and pledges to help them survive the drop.

"A shame for the defeat, certainly with another result I would have rejoined more this day to celebrate 100 Serie A appearances as its the best with the glorious shirt," he wrote on Facebook, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.
"Hundred battles lived with honour and pride. The rise from Serie C to A has not been easy but as I always say with determination, sweat and sacrifice, you can achieve your dreams. Now we aim for salvation."
This season, the Ghanaian winger has made 27 appearances and scored a goal as Spezia sit 17th on the table with eight matches remaining.
Gyasi joined Spezia in 2016 and has been an integral member of the club since their days in Serie B.

The Ghanaian forward received a pass about 30-yards from goal and played a one-two with a team mate before unleashing a shot at the edge of the 18-yard box to score.
