Royal AM Ladies emerged victorious over the previously unbeaten juggernaut Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday at the ABSA Tuks Stadium in Tshwane.

There to witness this historic result was Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize, who did little to temper her joy. It was the first time any Royal AM team had beaten the Brazilians in men's or women's football at all age levels

A glance at the table on Hollywoodbets' website shows Sundowns in second place with 19 points after eight matches. Royal AM finds itself at number six, having collected 15 points thus far.

The formidable University of the Western Cape is first, having accrued 21 points after winning seven-from-seven.

Though Mkhize has been a breath of fresh air as an owner, Thwihli Thwahla went into the record books for the wrong reason.

Sports Brief reported that Royal AM has used the second-most players on the planet in the last five years, having only been established in 2020. This was according to a study conducted by the CIES Football Observatory, which researched 75 of the biggest leagues on the planet.
