Ancelotti's men reacted swiftly as Rodrygo broke the deadlock eight minutes to the half-hour mark before Karim Benzema turned on the heat on Valladolid.

Further goals from Asensio and Vazquez in the second half put the icing on the cake to seal a landslide victory.

Karim the dream

The 35-year-old played the role of tormentor-in-chief against the lowly-placed Valladolid. He began his onslaught in the 29th minute with a well-steered header.

He followed it up with an immaculate 20-yard curling effort three minutes later before sealing his hat trick with an insane overhead kick in the 36th minute.

According to BBC, Benzema scored the fastest La Liga hat-trick by a Real Madrid player since Fernando Hierro in 1992.
