The head coach of the Nigeria U23 team Salisu Yusuf has reacted to his side’s 0-0 draw with the Junior Syli of Guinea at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Salisu’s boys played below expectations as they were overwhelmed throughout the encounter and we were lucky not to have conceded any goal.
The visitors took the game to the Nigerians, dominating proceedings from the start of the encounter and had two great chances to get a goal.
But somehow the hosts managed a draw. It went from bad to worse when defender Christopher Nwaeze received his marching orders after he was shown a second yellow card in stoppage time.
