Paris Saint-Germain has been urged to build their team around Kylian Mbappe and let go of Lionel Messi if they want to be successful in the Champions League.
Ex-PSG player, Eric Rabesandratana gave the Ligue 1 champions this advice following the club’s latest setback in Europe where they were eliminated in the last-16 for the second consecutive season.
According to PSG Talk, Rabesandratana claims Messi is not too determined to excel with PSG the same way he did with Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“We do not feel great determination. We saw it with Argentina during the World Cup. Even though the whole team was playing for him, he was determined.
“We expect a lot more from Lionel Messi, apart from his statistics. An extension? QSI wants to extend it. But I think he is not part of the PSG project. We need more determined players.”
PSG are keen on extending Messi’s contract although it is reported the Argentine wants to return to Barcelona when his current deal expires.

Meanwhile, Barcelona's hopes of reuniting with Lionel Messi have been handed a major blow after Qatari club Al-Hilal announced a €220 million annual offer for the PSG superstar, Fansided reports.
Al-Hilal intends to entice the Argentine away from Paris with a contract similar to Cristiano Ronaldo's, ideally making the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner the highest-paid footballer in the country.
