Despite missing out on winning FIFA's The Best Men's Player of the Year award to teammate Lionel Messi, the 24-year-old remains one of the most in-form players in Europe.

Nonetheless, his future with the Ligue 1 leaders has always been a topical issue despite extending his stay with his hometown club last summer, GOAL reports.

At Monday's FIFA The Best Awards ceremony held in Paris, Mbappe was asked which Italian club he would like to join if he ever leaves PSG.

He emphatically mentioned reigning Serie A champions AC Milan as his preferred option ahead of big guns like Juventus and Inter Milan.

“If I come to Serie A, it will only be for Milan,” Mbappe said, as quoted by Milan Eye.

Why Mbappe could leave PSG

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe could still leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2023/24 season despite recently signing a contract extension with the Ligue 1 champions.

Last year, the 24-year-old snubbed a move to Real Madrid to sign a contract with PSG until 2025 for €50 million net per season, with a signing bonus of €100million.

According to Marca, Mbappe's PSG contract was extended but only for two seasons, with the possibility of an additional year.

Mbappe changes stance on GOAT debate

Sports Brief earlier reported that Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has appeared to change the tune on who is football's greatest of all time between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The debate on who is the better player between the two football icons remains divided among fans, pundits, and even footballers.

While congratulating Messi for winning the best men's player at the FIFA The Best Awards ceremony on Instagram, Mbappe hinted he had changed his GOAT choice.
