Paris Saint-Germain will be without Presnel Kimpembe's services again for an undisclosed amount of time.
The defender was stretchered off during the game against Marseille after he ruptured his Achilles tendon.
ESPN has now reported that Kimpembe will have to undergo surgery to repair the tendon in the coming days.
The Frenchman will join Neymar on the sidelines and miss out on the Champions League second-leg clash against Bayern Munich. Neymar suffered ankle ligament damage and is currently out of action.

Kimpembe's latest injury comes not long after his previous injury layoff.
He missed the World Cup in Qatar after picking up an injury in November 2022 and only returned to action at the beginning of February 2023, Transfermarkt reported. He was out of action for 87 days and missed 10 games as a result.
PSG hopes his injury doesn't impact their chances of winning trophies too much. The French champions lead the Ligue 1 table and have a chance in the Champions League.
Kimpember has fun in Qatar
Presnel Kimpembe is making the most of his time in Qatar, Sports Brief previously reported.
The French defender is part of the Paris Saint-Germain squad that's currently in the country for their Winter Tour.
While Kimpembe won't be able to play any matches due to injury, that hasn't stopped him from having fun while on tour.

Kimpembe took to social media to register his displeasure with the seeming lack of communication by the club after coach Christophe Galtier declared Mbappe as the new deputy captain.
In the absence of regular captain Marquinhos, Kimpembe and Marco Verratti usually sit second and third in the captaincy hierarchy at the club, Sports Brief reported.
