Crystal Palace boss, Patrick Vieira has shared his thoughts on this season's Premier League title race.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal did endure a minor blip that saw them relinquish the top spot momentarily before they took control over the weekend, after City faltered against Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal backed to win title

Despite the unpredictability of the Premier League title race, Vieira contends Arsenal are on course to secure the title this season.

However, the Palace manager was quick to admit that City are likely to push the north Londoners all the way to the final day of the season.

“I think the Premier League title is Arsenal’s to lose, to be honest with you. I think Arsenal did really well against Aston Villa on Saturday, to bounce back with that 4-2 win at Villa Park," Vieira told William Hill.
"They are just in a really good place at the moment, with a lot of confidence. But I still believe Manchester City will chase Arsenal until the very last day of the Premier League season. But I think it’s Arsenal’s title to lose," he added.

Vieira, who is an Arsenal legend, was the last captain to lead the Gunners to EPL glory.

Martinelli celebrates before scoring

Sports Brief earlier reported on Arsenal winger, Gabriel Martinelli celebrating before scoring the goal which Emiliano Martinez gifted him.

The Brazilian started off the bench to give new signing, Leandro Trossard his first start since his January move to the Emirates Stadium.

Martinelli was through on goal and used the opportunity to lift up his hands in a show of celebration before slotting the ball home.
