  • Arsenal left it late to beat Aston Villa 4-2 at Villa Park in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off
  • Two late goals from Jorginho and Gabriel Martinelli helped the Gunners return to the top of the table
  • The Brazilian winger was spotted doing an unusual thing shortly before he slotted home his goal

Arsenal looked destined to continue their winless run but a late drama at Villa Park ensured they left the West Midlands with all maximum points against their former manager.

It was a game of back and forth and looked like it would end in a draw before January window signing Jorginho scored with a shot from outside the box and Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli added the fourth.

Both goals drew reactions from fans, Jorginho for his first goal for the club and Martinelli for the manner in which he scored the goals and celebrated.

Fans' reaction to Martinelli

What if he got a muscle pull?

Needed an open goal from 5 yards to hide that stinker of a performance.

The way this guy eats this run in behind time without number , i just wonder why he can’t play middle when guys park

@ConcordTobby

At that point, I felt like he’d fall down and lose the goal

The goal was reminiscent of a former Arsenal player Tomas Rosiscky who celebrated a goal for Dortmund in 2006 before it scored as seen on Reddit, and Ross Barkley who celebrated a goal against Bournemouth in 2017 in like manner, as reported by Give Me Sport.

Martinelli showboats against Tottenham

It was not the first time the Brazilian had pulled off a rare act in a game. Sports Brief earlier reported that Martinelli showboated against Tottenham during the North London derby.

He received a cross field pass while having acres of space, he turned his back to control the ball before quickly turning and racing towards the Tottenham goal.

The incident got fans talking, with many claiming he disrespected the opponent. He is a Brazilian anyway, they entertain a lot with the ball.
