Nottingham Forest winger Andre Ayew has expressed worry and serious concern over the condition of his teammate in the Ghana national team Christian Atsu who is still missing.
Atsu who plays for Turkish Süper Lig club Hatayspor has been missing for over six days since after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
There were initial news that he was found in which fans were happy about the development, but it turned out to be that the Ghanaian is still missing.
Serious search is still ongoing to get Atsu and this has made Ayew disclose that he has not been himself ever since the disaster occurred.

According to a video spotted on Twitter, Ayew explained that he can only hope that Atsu comes out alive.

Statement made by Ayew
“I’m very sad, I’m very down. Such a beautiful country, beautiful people, there are no words to describe how I feel.
“With Christian Atsu’s situation, it has been difficult the last few days. We have been trying to get hold of him and his family and we are praying that he will be good, he will be OK.”
Atsu's wife breaks silence
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how the partner of Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu, Marie-Claire Rupio, is pleading with Turkish and British authorities to help find the father of her children.
Atsu has been trapped under rubble following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake which hit the city of Hatay.

FootballEarlier reports indicated that the player has been found and rushed to the hospital.
However, it was later confirmed that Atsu is still missing alongside sporting director of Hatayspor Taner Savut.
The sad situation has left many worried including his wife, who remains anxious as the search for her husband continues in Turkey.
