The Spanish giants triumphed over Saudi club Al-Hilal in the Grand Finale to win a record-extending fifth crown, making them the most successful club in the competition, Al Jazeera reports.

A brace each from Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde in addition to a Benzema strike ensured Carlo Ancelotti's men beat their Saudi counterparts 5-3 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium on Saturday.

But what gained the attention of social media users was a Real Madrid fan, who could not hide his unflinching love for Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a photo making the rounds on social media, seen by Sports Brief, the Madrid fan hoisted Ronaldo's Al-Nassr shirt to show his love for both the club and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Madrid wins Club World Cup

Perhaps the fan's decision to hoist Ronaldo's jersey helped Real Madrid lift the Club World Cup for a record fifth time with a pulsating 5-3 win over Al Hilal on Saturday in Morocco.

Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde struck twice each, while Karim Benzema also scored on his return from injury in Madrid's spectacular victory over their Saudi Arabian opponents.

Madrid's emphatic triumph at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium secured their second piece of silverware of the season, after winning the European Super Cup in August.

Ronaldo links up with ex-Madrid teammates

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo was a familiar face at Real Madrid's training session in Riyadh, Sports Brief earlier reported.

Los Blancos were in Saudi Arabia gearing up for the Spanish Super Cup in the Saudi capital against Barcelona.

Although Real Madrid eventually lost the final, it was the playing body's heartwarming moment with Ronaldo that took centre stage.
