The family of Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu have reacted to news of the Hatayspor winger's rescue following a massive earthquake in Turkey.
The 31-year-old was trapped under rubble for several hours after a 7.7 magnitude hit the city of Hatay in the early hours of Monday morning.
The player was pulled out of the wreckage alive and has since been admitted to a hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
After a long pensive wait of news about the whereabout of the winger, Ghanaians and the family of Atsu woke up to good news on Tuesday.

"The entire nation backed us in prayers so I knew God will deliver my brother. Although we heard the news, we wanted to confirm it from the club. So I called the agent and we kept in touch," Atsu's elder brother, Isaac Twasam told Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV.
His aunty, Mama Comfort, also added: “We’ve been unable to sleep, I have been praying. Everyone has been calling from friends to church members. His brother informed me that he has been found at dawn. I want to thank Ghanaians for their love and support. They have been more than a family.”
Atsu netted the winner as Hatayspor defeated Kasimpasa over the weekend in Turkey.

Atsu was rescued in the early hours of Tuesday morning after he went missing after the apartment, he was living in with some Hatayaspor teammates collapsed.
The Ghana winger has been rushed to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment after suffering injuries to his leg.
