The global football community have poured out heartfelt messages following the devastating earthquake which struck Turkey in the early hours of Monday.
Former Chelsea forward Christian Atsu is said to have been trapped under rubble following a huge earthquake which hit Turkey.
According to CNN, more than 1,500 people have died and rescuers are racing to pull survivors from beneath the rubble which struck through Turkey and Syria.
Per Joy News, Atsu, together with the director of his club, Taner Savut, is said to be the subject of a search by the search and rescue team.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said 912 people had been killed in Turkey alone after the first quake, with more than 5,300 wounded.
Just before the heartbreaking news, Atsu, who joined Hatayspor from Saudi side Al Raed, was on the scoresheet for his new club, scoring a match winning freekick on Sunday.

Atsu joins Turkish club
Christian Atsu has joined Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor in the transfer window after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al Raed.
The 30-year-old signed a one-year deal with an option for a further year as he begins a new adventure in Turkey.
Hatayspor confirmed the arrival of the ex-Chelsea player on their official website after completing all paper works with the winger.
Atsu speaks on Chelsea move
Christian Atsu has described the decision to join Chelsea in 2013 as the best ever he made in an ill-fated spell with the Blues, Sports Brief earlier reported.
The 30-year-old caught the attention of Chelsea when he was playing for FC Porto in Portugal, where he displayed enormous talent.
However, his time at the London club was overshadowed by a series of loan spells before eventually joining Newcastle United in 2017.
