Ghanaian football legends, Asamoah Gyan and Stephen Appiah were spotted hanging out before a tennis game in Accra.

The former Black Stars players spend their free time playing on the court due to their shared love for the sport.

In a photo shared on social media, Gyan is seen helping his former teammate and captain, Appiah stretch out before a game.

Both players played an instrumental role in the Black Stars' first-ever appearance at the World Cup, with Appiah assisting Gyan with his first goal at the 2006 tournament in Germany.

Appiah has retired from the game while Gyan is yet to hang up his boots, despite being inactive for the past two years.

His last game for the Black Stars was at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, when Ghana lost to Tunisia in a penalty shootout.

Gyan spent six months in the Ghana Premier League playing for Accra-based Legon Cities FC. Before returning to west Africa, he played in Italy, France, England, the UAE, China and Turkey.

He remains a legendary figure in African football, holding the record for the most goals by a player from the continent at the World Cup.
