Sevilla have reignited their interest in Ghana and Racing Club Strasbourg centre-back Alexander Djiku in the winter transfer window.
The La Liga side were close to signing the Ghanaian in the summer transfer window, but the deal fell through at the eleventh hour.
According to French publication L'Equipe, Sevilla have submitted a 2 Million Euros offer for the defender and are set to sign him in January.
Djiku has five months remaining on his current deal and Strasbourg are looking at cashing in on their deputy captain.

The 28-year-old is not ready to sign a contract extension with the club as interests came in from England. Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in the race for Djiku's signature.
The French-born Ghanaian could join any club in the summer window when his contract with Strasbourg expires in June.
Djiku has been a key player for Strasbourg since joining them five years ago.
He also played a pivotal role as Ghana qualified for the World Cup in 2022, playing two games at the tournament in Qatar.

Rock-solid Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku has been crowned Ghana's Player of the Year at the Ghana Football Awards held in Accra on Saturday night.
The French-born Ghanaian beat off competition from Arsenal star Thomas Partey, newly-signed Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Jojo Wollacot, Southampton's Mohammed Salisu and Daniel Amartey of Leicester City.
In a video posted on social media, the 28-year-old expressed delight in winning the award, thanking his club and national team teammates.
