In-form Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil scored his seventh goal of the season as KRC Genk defeated Westerlo in a five-goal thriller in the Belgium First Division A league.
The Black Stars forward also provided two assists in the 3-2 victory at the Het Kuipje stadium.
Genk got off to a great start and after just seven minutes found the back of the net through forward Aziz Outtara Mohammed, who lashed onto a Paintsil assist.
Seventeen minutes later, Paintsil doubled the lead with a stunning curler as Genk went into the break with the two goal advantage.

Paintsil pays tribute to father
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil paid tribute to his late father 48 hours after burying him in Accra with a match winner for KRC Genk in their game against Anderlecht.
Paintsil was in Ghana over the weekend to pay his final respects to his father, who died on November 18.
