Otto Addo has announced his final 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

At a press conference in Accra, the 47-year-old named his team with several of the notable names making his squad.

Conspicuously missing are Joseph Paintsil of KRC Genk, Majeed Ashimeru of Anderlecht and Felix Afena-Gyan.

Meanwhile, first-choice goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Jojo Wollacot will be missing the World Cup due to injury.

There were places in the team for Osman Bukari of Red Star Belgrade, Elisha Owusu of KAA Gent and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of Hearts of Oak.

Razak Brimah avails himself for Black Stars invite

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Black Stars first-choice goalkeeper, Razak Brimah has revealed his availability for the national team ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

The Spain-based shot-stopper is hoping for a last-minute opportunity to make Ghana's squad following reports of injuries to Jojo Wollacot and Richard Ofori.

Brimah, who last played for the Black Stars at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, took to social media to declare himself ready for the tournament.

Fans of the Ghanaian national football team have stormed the city of Doha in jubilant mood, as they await the arrival of the Black Stars.

The Black Stars are expected to arrive in Qatar this week ahead of the commencement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Ghanaian football fans have been spotted jamming ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

In a video posted on social media, hundreds of fans took to Qatar's capital to sing and dance, as they build up the excitement ahead of the competition.
