  • Antonio Conte has singled out Arsenal and Man City as the two teams that can win the Premier League this season.
  • The Gunners are currently topping the charts with 47 points, eight points ahead of reigning champions Man City.
  • Arsenal have not won the league title for close to two decades now, having tasted glory for the last time in 2004.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has named two Premier League teams that he believes stand the best chance to win the title this season.

Arsenal have emerged as the outright frontrunners for the domestic crown after an impressive start to the campaign under Mikel Arteta.

According to Metro UK, the Gunners have lost just once so far this term, with their incredible run of form having them topping the charts with 47 points.

Arteta's charges are enjoying an eight-point lead over second-placed Man City, while Man United and Newcastle are the other teams in the race to challenge for the Premier League title.

Conte makes EPL title prediction

While Man United have emerged among the contenders for the title, Conte believes that only Arsenal and Man City stand the best chance to secure the coveted trophy.

Speaking after Tottenham's North London derby defeat to Arsenal, the experienced Italian manager suggested it is only the two teams that have what it takes to be crowned champions at the end of the season.

"They (Arsenal) have a great balance and hit the right moments. In the second half, they suffered a lot and showed their resilience and when a team can do this it means they are ready to fight for a title," Conte told Sky Sports after Tottenham's loss to Arsenal.
"I think with Manchester City they are the only two teams who are going to fight for the Premier League this season," he added.

Richarlison blanks Martinelli

Sports Brief had also reported that Richarlison was in no mood for pleasantries with Arsenal forward, Gabriel Martinelli when the two sides met on January 15.

The Gunners ran riot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and raced to a 2-0 lead before the break. Hugo Lloris had a howler by turning in a Bukayo Saka cross, while Martin Odegaard added the second from outside the box.

Before Richarlison was brought on, Martinelli attempted to shake hands with his international compatriot, who was warming up near the corner flag.
