Former Real Madrid full-back, Marcelo recently excited fans as he used the celebration of his long-time friend, Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring for his Olympiacos team.

Marcelo developed a close bond with Ronaldo during the pair’s time at Real Madrid, and the Brazilian was responsible for a number of assists for his former teammate in their prime.

In nine years together at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the players combined to win an impressive five Champions League titles and two La Liga crowns.

All that is in the past however, as Marcelo left for the Greek side in the summer of 2022, while Ronaldo is now in the Middle East playing for Saudi Arabia giants, Al-Nassr.

On Wednesday night, the Brazilian was on target as his side battled to a 2-2 draw against Atromitos in the Greece Cup.

The 34-year old scored at the tail end of the first half and in celebration, decided to pull off Ronaldo’s 'Siuuu' celebration in what was a delightful commemoration of his former teammate.

After the 2-2 draw, Olympiacos advanced to the next round 6-3 on aggregate.

It was also nice to see Marcelo back playing for the Greek giants as only a few weeks ago, there were worrying reports that the club was ready to terminate his contract early.

As per SportBible, he has made 10 appearances for the club so far, scoring three times.

Olympiacos had a dismal group stage run that saw them crash out of the Europa League, as they finished bottom of the pile.

Despite no longer being at the club, the veteran forward was still on the minds of fans who came out to watch Los Blancos take on Valencia in the Supercopa.
