Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly kicked against Lionel Messi parading the World Cup trophy at the Parc des Princes.
Messi, who played a starring role in Argentina's World Cup triumph, is in line to feature in PSG's league game against Angers on Wednesday evening.
The 35-year-old was given special treatment, receiving a guard of honour from his teammates and staff of the club, on his return from an extended break after the Mundial.
As is often the norm, returning winners parade the World Cup trophy on their club's home turf, but the Argentina captain will not experience that moment.

According to French outlet Le Parisien, PSG will not allow the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner to show off the coveted trophy on their home pitch.
Why PSG disallowed penalty parade
There are fears Messi might be open to abuse from the French fans, due to the taunts of Argentina goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez towards Kylian Mbappe before and after the final, per GOAL.
The club also feels that the guard of honour, given to the veteran upon his return to training, was a sufficient welcome for the World Cup Golden Boot winner, Le Parisien reports.

The Argentina captain received a well-deserved guard of honour by his Paris Saint-Germain teammates and staff.
The 35-year-old reported back to Paris having concluded his celebrations, after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina.

PSG boss dispels Mbappe-Messi feud
Sports Brief earlier reported that Christophe Galtier, the gaffer of PSG, has explained that France international Mbappe did actually congratulate Messi for winning the FIFA World Cup.
It was a tough day for Mbappe and his teammates in the French national team, as Argentina beat them on penalties in the tournament's final in Qatar.
According to reports by GOAL and Marca, Galtier denied there was any friction between Messi and his French teammate during or after the Mundial in the Middle East.
