English-born Ghanaian, Kobbie Mainoo has finally made his long-awaited Manchester United debut in the EFL Cup against Charlton Athletic.
The 18-year-old Academy product started as the Red Devils defeated Charlton to progress to the semi-finals of the Cup competition.
Mainoo lasted an hour of the game before he was replaced by Casimero as the Red Devils triumphed 3-0 at Old Trafford.
The youngster showed great potential and looks to have gained the admiration of manager Erik ten Hag.

“For, all of us it is a big game and for him, it is a great opportunity," Ten Hag told the club's media. "He did well at the winter camp in Spain, he did very well against Everton in the [behind-closed-doors] friendly, so he deserved to play.
"So I am happy to give him the opportunity, but it is about [what is] deserved.”
Antony continued his scoring run as he broke the game's deadlock after 21 minutes, before second half substitute Marcus Rashford sealed victory with a brace.
Manchester United will next face Manchester City in the English Premier League on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Manchester United have signed midfielder Kobbie Mainoo from the academy, making it the 17-year-old first professional contract in his career.
This comes after the 17-year-old, who was born in Stockport, wowed everyone at Old Trafford with his outstanding performance in the FA Youth Cup final, which United Academy won.
Mainoo has made 31 appearances for Manchester United U-18 so far this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
