English-born Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo trained with Manchester United's first team ahead of their FA Cup game against Everton on Friday.

The 17-year-old has been outstanding for the youth team, earning him an invite to the senior side by manager Erik ten Hag.

Mainoo is expected to make the squad for the game at Old Trafford as he eyes a senior Manchester United debut.

Having impressed with the youth team, where he has played ten games and provided two assists in the Premier League 2, the midfielder looks set for his first match for the Red Devils.

United have been in fine form since losing to Manchester City in the English Premier League, winning their last six matches.

Ten Hag will look at the FA Cup as a perfect opportunity for him to win at least a trophy with Manchester United this season.
