However, he returned to action for the Red Devils on Friday when they played Everton in the FA Cup.

The 22-year-old marked his return with a goal as Erik ten Hag's charges demolished the Toffees 3-1 to advance to the next round of the tournament.

Antony speaks after car crash

The Man United star has since broken his silence after the car crash, describing the incident as a 'shock.'

Speaking after the Everton match, Antony refused to share more details on the crash but insisted that he is now relieved.

"I also feel relieved as in the last few days I had a shock, but I prefer not to comment on what happened," The Sun quoted the Brazil international saying.
"It was a personal matter, really hard but I’m very grateful to God for putting this behind me now," he added.

Why Rashford was dropped

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Marcus Rashford was on target as Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 in their last match out.

But the striker was surprisingly dropped by Erik Ten Hag for the Wolves clash, with the gaffer going with Alejandro Garnacho instead.

Ten Hag has since confirmed his absence is due to 'internal disciplinary' reasons.
