Piers Morgan has continued his weird rivalry with Lionel Messi.
The British television personality is a known Cristiano Ronaldo fan and hasn’t been shy to praise the Portuguese star or mock Messi.
With the Argentinian winning the World Cup and cementing his GOAT status, Morgan once again fired a cheap shot at him, this time accusing him of gloating.

Morgan’s comments were in relation to Messi’s Instagram page, where he has recently been sharing photos after his World Cup triumph.
It isn’t the first time the television personality has mocked the veteran striker's World Cup win. As noted by SportBible, he took aim at Argentina’s supporters who came out to celebrate the team’s victory.
ESPN shared a photo of the crowds, saying that an estimated four million people were on the streets of Buenos Aires. Morgan was quick to respond to the tweet, once again taking a cheap shot at the Argentinian captain.
"So? The city’s population is 15m - have the other 11m stayed inside because, like me, they think Maradona is still the Argentinian GOAT?"
Naturally, many fans have taken issue with his constant jibes.
