Cristiano Ronaldo’s miserable outing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for Portugal has earned him a spot in the tournament’s worst team, following the conclusion of the competition.
The 37-year-old forward endured a miserable tournament for the Selecao and scored just one goal, as the 2016 European champions were dumped out in the quarter-finals.
According to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo - who was benched during Portugal’s knockout games at the World Cup - has now been listed in statistics provider Sofascore’s worst team of the tournament.
Other players also included in this list include Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez and Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

United States defender Sergino Dest, Poland’s Kamil Glik, and Jackson Irvine and Mathew Leckie of Australia are some of the players also listed in the worst team of the 2022 World Cup.
