Osman Bukari has explained his decision to perform the iconic Ronaldo 'Siuuu' celebration in front of his idol during the game between Ghana and Portugal in the Group H opener.
Fans took to social media to label the player as disrespectful for hitting the 'siuu' celebration while Ronaldo was watching on the bench.
In a post on social media, the Red Star Belgrade rejected claims of disrespect as he paid tribute to Ronaldo.
"I have noticed my celebration today has generated comments claiming I was disrespectful towards Ronaldo. This is incorrect. I was overcome by the emotion of the moment of scoring for my country on my World Cup debut leading to my celebration," he wrote on Twitter.

"My upbringing doesn’t permit me to be disrespectful to elders let alone one of my idols. Thanks for your support and we focus on our next game!," he added.
Ronaldo opened the scoring from the spot and performed his famous celebration but his lead lasted for only seven minutes after Andre Ayew levelled for the Black Stars.
The 2016 European champions scored two quick-fire goals through Joao Felix and Rafael Leao before Bukari netted a consolation for Ghana.
