Osman Bukari performed Ronaldo's famous 'siuuu' celebration after netting on his World Cup debut for the Black Stars of Ghana.

The Red Star Belgrade forward, who was a second half substitute, reduced the deficit as the Black Stars lost 3-2 at the Stadium 974.

In a video posted on social media, the winger - who headed home from a Baba Rahman cross - celebrated in front of his idol.

Ronaldo opened the scoring after converting from the spot on the hour mark, following a foul on him by Mohammed Salisu.

Ghana levelled ten minutes later through captain Andre Ayew, but the lead lasted only three minutes before Joao Felix shot Portugal into the lead once again.

Three minutes later, second half substitute Rafael Leao double the advantage for Portugal before Bukari got a consolation goal for Ghana.

The Black Stars will next face South Korea before finishing their group with a clash against Uruguay.

Ghana suffer defeat to Portugal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that five second-half goals ensured Portugal beat Ghana in their opening Group H game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ronaldo scored in his fifth World Cup as Felix and Leao also netted for the Europeans, while Ghana reduced the deficit through Ayew and Bukari.

Portugal began the game dominating possession, winning a corner kick after just three minutes, but the set piece was well scouted by the Black Stars.

Ayew scores Africa's first goal

Andre Ayew has become the first player to score a goal for an African nation at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars captain levelled the score from a Mohammed Kudus pass in their Group H opener against Portugal.

CR7 scored the opener from the spot for the 2016 European champions, before the Al Sadd forward restored parity ten minutes later.
