Fans were quick to jump on the post, with many insinuating that Ronaldo had a home at Real Madrid before he decided to bolt to Juventus.

The Portuguese striker is a revered figure in Madrid, after scoring a whopping 450 goals during his nine seasons in the Spanish capital.

He also won four Ballon d'Or awards and Champions League titles there.

A section of fans have implored the club to bring the 37-year-old back for one last dance, while others claimed he was past his best years.

Whether Real Madrid's post was a troll or just a nonchalant post, we might never know, as Ronaldo begins the hunt for a new club.

Real will not sign Ronaldo

Sports Brief had earlier reported that La Liga giants Real Madrid reportedly have no intention of re-signing embattled Manchester United striker Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is currently facing an uncertain future with the Red Devils, following his recent explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

In a tell-it-all with the veteran British journalist, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner aimed a thin-veiled dig at the Man United hierarchy.

Vincent Kompany mocks Ronaldo

In the spirit of trolls, Sports Brief has also reported that former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has waded into the Cristiano Ronaldo debate, by savagely mocking the former Manchester United star.

Ronaldo was released from his contract on November 22 after his differences with the club became untenable and amid his scathing attacks on its management structure.

With the ripping up of the contract taking effect immediately, Ronaldo is now a free agent now. No clubs have yet shown genuine interest in the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
