Manchester United have dropped the biggest hint yet on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club.

Ronaldo has entered the final months of his contract with the Red Devils, with his deal set to expire at the end of the season.

The veteran striker has endured a frustrating start to the new season, having scored just one Premier League goal so far.

His poor run of form has been characterised by off-field issues, which saw him banished from the first team at one point.

Ronaldo's challenges have seen him linked with a potential January exit, just months after it was reported he was pushing to depart in the summer.

United give hint on Ronaldo

However, The Sun reports that United is unlikely to offload the Portuguese talisman during the winter transfer window.

According to the publication, a mural featuring Ronaldo adorning the Theatre of Dreams suggests United is keen to keep hold of the striker.

The mural featured the club's iconic No.7s, with images of David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Ella Toone also included.

The development comes just days after Ronaldo found his way back into ten Hag's starting XI.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Mings clash

Sports Brief had earlier reported that dramatic scenes chacterised the game between Aston Villa and Manchester United in the Premier League, as players clashed midway through the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Tyrone Mings sparked the huge brawl after the duo wrestled each other to the ground. Ronaldo came to blows with the English star while the Red Devils were on the attack.

The match ended in a 3-1 defeat for Erik ten Hag's men, who suffered a huge knock to their top-four aspirations.
