Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag believes Cristiano Ronaldo should not play for the club again, after the 37-year-old’s recent interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo dropped a number of bombshells during the interview as he severed his relationship with Manchester United beyond repair.
Barely 48 hours later, and ESPN reports ten Hag has moved swiftly to make his stance clear on the rogue United star.
According to the outlet, ten Hag held a meeting on Monday with senior figures at the club, including co-chairman Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough.

The report further states that ten Hag feels Ronaldo has gone too far with his criticism of the club, and he is not willing to keep the forward at the expense of the unity at the Red Devils.
He is reportedly keen on seeing Ronaldo leave, even if United fail to get a replacement in January.
Ronaldo’s contract could be terminated
As per the Telegraph, United are seriously considering ripping up Ronaldo’s £560,000 a week contract after the explosive interview.
One loophole the club could exploit to make that move is what employment lawyers term 'a potential breach of the implied duty of trust and confidence' from the Portugal captain.
The Red Devils are also looking at the option of fining Ronaldo or even instituting another kind of disciplinary procedure against him.
