Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was again disappointed on Thursday night, 3 November, as he failed to save his side from a defeat against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League.

The Nigerian stopper and his teammates at Omonia have now crashed out in the Europa League in embarrassing fashion as they failed to win any of their six games losing all.

Against Sheriff Tiraspol, Uzoho and his teammates tried their best to get something out of the match, but Rasheed Akanbi's 87th minute goal condemned them to a 1-0 defeat.

Roman Bezus should have been on the scoresheet twice for Omonia in the second half of the game, but he was unable to find the back of the net on the two occasions he got good chances.

Francis Uzoho's disappointment

Despite making good saves again like he did while playing against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Uzoho conceded at the death to give Tiraspol the win according to the report on Pulse.

Emotional Victor Osimhen opens up

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen narrated how he survived on the streets of Lagos in Nigeria, where he had to sell water on the streets.

The Nigerian international, who joined the Italian club Napoli in the summer of 2020, stated that he lost both parents while he was young.

Osimhen, who grew up around Olusosun in the Ojota area of Lagos, was part of the Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile, where he scored 10 goals in 7 matches.

He then played for the U23 team before earning a call-up from the then-Super Eagles coach, ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
