Mudasiru Salifu is living his dreams after playing at the iconic Old Trafford for the first time during the Europa League game between Manchester United and Sheriff Tiraspol.

The Asante Kotoko midfielder, currently on loan at Sheriff Tiraspol, played 90 minutes as the Moldovan outfit lost to the Red Devils 3-0 on Thursday night.

Unfortunately for Salifu, who had a good game, his side could not stop the attacking prowess of the English giants.

The defeat leaves Sheriff third in Group E of the Europa League and victory or a draw against Omonia in their final group game will see them relegated to the Europa Conference League.

Salifu's incredible journey in just a year

Twelve months ago, the 25-year-old was helping Kotoko win the Ghana Premier League, playing at the famous Baba Yara stadium.

Having helped Kotoko domestically, the swashbuckling midfielder earned an invite from Sheriff for a trial.

Salifu impressed and with the club unable to give him a permanent contract due to various reason, they decided to tie him down on a loan deal.

The Ghanaian midfielder flourished immediately and has become a key member of the team. Salifu has already made 18 appearances across all competitions for Sheriff since joining in the summer transfer window.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mudasiru Salifu has shared his moment with five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo after meeting the Manchester United forward at the end of the game against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday.

The former Asante Kotoko player was a second-half substitute for Sheriff Tiraspol as Manchester United defeated the Moldovan outfit.
