It appears that Orlando Pirates players enjoy their FIFA 23 during downtime.

Goalkeeper Richard Ofori said that Kermit Erasmus and Nigerian international Olisa Ndah are the ones who magically conjure a PlayStation 5, before the players get down to some serious business of establishing on-screen superiority.

Former Pirates player, SuperSport pundit, master-of-ceremonies and Marriott Bonvoy brand ambassador Phumudzo Manenzhe asked Ofori:

"Who brings the PlayStation in camp? And who is the champion?"

Ofori responded:

"Kermit [Erasmus] and Olisa [Ndah]. Most of the time, Ndah is the champion. He knows how to play."

Manenzhe pressed on:

"Now that you have mentioned those two players, if you were to put your head on the block against them, who would you chose in a Soweto Derby match?"

Without giving it much thought, Ofori said that he'd make sure the hottest player in South Africa right now - his teammate Monnapule Saleng - would be a shoo-in for his team.

At the time of publication, the left-winger was yet to be included in the game, as he had not yet been registered in the Buccaneers squad after his return from loan at Swallows FC.

FIFA 23 ratings surprise for Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs

The ratings of the South African teams included in FIFA 23 have been revealed.

Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are available to those who want to play with them, as reported by Sports Brief. Pirates is the highest rated, though one would have thought that the all-conquering Sundowns would be at the top of this ranking.

Pirates and Sundowns are three-star teams, while Chiefs is a two-and-a-half-star team in the game.
