Former Super Eagles gaffer Sunday Oliseh has claimed that he is impressed with the form of Victor Osimhen, adding that the future looks good for the Super Eagles with the Napoli man.

Osimhen has been making the headlines since he got the winner for Napoli in their tough Serie A side at Roma as the Nigerian striker scored from an impossible angle.

The win also ensured that Napoli remained on top of the Serie A table with 29 points after 11 games played so far this term.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Oliseh, who was one of the best midfielders during his playing days, explained that Osimhen can change the fortune of the Super Eagles.

Osimhen's goals for Super Eagles

The former Lille star has been playing for the Super Eagles since 2017, and he has featured in 22 games netting 15 goals.

There have also been talks that Osimhen can also break the record of the late Rashidi Yekini in the Super Eagles.

Yekini, with 37 goals, still remains the Super Eagles highest goalscorer.

Spalletti speaks about Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how the head coach of Napoli, Luciano Spalletti showered praises on Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, who scored the decisive goal in their 1-0 win over Roma in the Serie A.

Osimhen powered home from a difficult angle, shoving Chris Smalling before firing the ball into the back of the net in the 80th minute of the encounter.

It was the 23-year-old’s third goal in three games, and Spalletti has reiterated that the Nigerian international can go on to become extraordinary.

Spalletti said that Osimhen tried to do everything himself at times without realising where his teammates are, but commented the star on his strength, physicality and prowess in the air.
