What did Neymar say?

The Paris Saint-Germain star claimed that he knew little about the negotiations. Neymar - testifying for the first time - claimed that his father handled the contracts, Marca reported. Neymar Sr, the PSG star’s father, is also his agent.

"My father handles everything. I wasn't involved in the negotiations. I only sign what he tells me to sign," Neymar told the court.

Neymar's mother also claimed to have no knowledge of negotiations between Santos and Barcelona.

Other clubs also wanted him

He added that he had heard rumours about other clubs wanting to sign him but said his heart was set on Barcelona ever since he was a child. Earlier in the day’s proceedings, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez also gave evidence.

Pérez claimed that Madrid were one of the clubs that made an offer for Neymar’s signature, Barca Universal reported.
