Darwin Nunez: Liverpool Star in Trouble With Fans After ‘Selfish’ Act During Man City Clash
- Football fans have hit out at Darwin Nunez after his performance during Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Man City
- The former Benfica forward was involved in a situation in the second half of the match, where he failed to pass the ball to Mohamed Salah
- Salah was evidently in a better position to score as Liverpool launched a terrific attack, only for Nunez to attempt a shot at the goal
Liverpool star Darwin Nunez has found himself on the receiving end, following his 'selfish' act during his side's Premier League clash against Man City.
Jurgen Klopp drafted the summer signing in his attack to partner Mohamed Salah in the hunt for goals, when the Reds hosted City at Anfield on Sunday, October 16.
However, Nunez was unable to find the back of the net, with Salah emerging as Liverpool's saviour.
The highlight of the forward's performance was deep in the second half, when he was involved in a 3-on-1 moment.

Rather than pass the ball to Salah however, who was in a better position to score, the former Benfica star chose to take a shot at the goal.
His effort was blocked by a Man City player and Liverpool lost possession of the ball -and also a golden chance to double their advantage.
Nunez's decision not to pass the ball to Salah earned him condemnation on social media, with a section of fans branding him as 'selfish.'
"You see what Nunez did there? Being selfish. That's where Liverpool miss Sadio Mane."
A second added:
"How will I explain to my kids that Darwin Nunez did not pass this ball? What a selfish player."

"Bruhhh Darwin Nunez is a pitiful excuse for a footballer."
A fourth sensationally claimed:
"I’m not exaggerating when I say Darwin Nunez is the worst footballer I’ve ever seen in my life."
While another posted:
"Darwin Nunez is the type of player you never want on your team because he thinks he's that guy but in reality he's just rubbish."
Meanwhile, Salah's sole strike was enough to catapult Liverpool to victory as City recorded their first defeat of the season.
City's loss now leaves them four points behind league leaders Arsenal, who saw off Leeds United in their own fixture.
Guardiola's strange comments about Liverpool
Sports Brief earlier reported on Pep Guardiola making an odd assessment about Liverpool ahead of their showdown on Sunday.
Guardiola said that under no circumstances should anyone underestimate the Reds. He said Klopp's men are City's biggest test so far this season, despite Liverpool's terrible start to the season.
The Reds have won two league games this season, and Man City's clash could make or break their season.
