Edinson's brace against Elche means the former Paris Saint-Germain goal poacher has now scored in four of Europe's five leagues - Manchester United (England), Italy (Napoli and Palermo), France (PSG) and now Spain (Valencia).

Recently, Kylian Mbappe eclipsed Cavani's goal-scoring feat for Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League when the Frenchman became the highest goalscorer in the competition for the French club, Keep Up reported.

What is next for Cavani and Valencia?

Cavani would hope to continue his form in front of goal when Valencia plays as guests to struggling Sevilla on Tuesday, October 18 at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Cavani signs for Valencia

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Valencia’s bid to sign a top-class striker has been successful as the La Liga club has agreed to sign former Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani.

The 35-year-old Uruguayan forward has been without a club since leaving the Red Devils as a free agent this summer and is set to complete the move to the La Liga side within the next 24 hours.

According to Football Espana, Valencia reached a verbal agreement with Edinson Cavani over a two-year contract and the Uruguayan is expected to fly out to the Spanish city from Madrid to seal the deal.
