Akanji, 27, amazed fans with his rapid answers to complex multiplication questions while at Borussia Dortmund, and it seems those skills are as sharp as a tack.
On Friday evening, Akanji was interviewed on television, and the presenter did not miss a moment to ask the Switzerland star about his skills. According to Sky Sports, the presenter was prepared with numbers referring to Man City's stats, goals, years and appearances and didn't blink when answering the questions.

Akanji flexes his mathematical genius
He said.
"My teacher that I had always made a competition. In math, like calculating and everything, and at that point, I knew I was really good in it because I would always get to the final and won most of the time.”
He has been compared to a pocket calculator after appearing on Swiss television and showcasing his skills.
"I used to enjoy doing sums in my head. I could do it well," according to Borussia Dortmund.

FootballDespite starting well for City, Akanji has been limited to just four appearances this season but should play against Southampton on Saturday. Akanji joined Pep Guardiola's side last month for £15 million.
Akanji beats the calculator
Sports Brief earlier reported on Akanji's maths genius after an old video of him doing calculations in Dortmund's colours emerged.
Standing together with a BVB teammate who had a calculator, Akanji was able to answer questions before his teammate could press a button on the calculator.
Akanji has always been labelled as a smart footballer. He is fluent in English French, and German.
